The first weekly Thursday Steemit Poker Tourney is concluded and it surely did not disappoint. 
Hive account@nicnas was the inaugural victory earning himself 15 SBD for his efforts.

Hive account@jmehta heads up in classic poker finish with the last hand being an absolute heartbreaker for Hive account@jmehta. Pretty evenly matched heads-up play concludes with Hive account@nicnas having A 10 against the all-in Hive account@jmehta 's A Q. You can just sense Hive account@jmehta is smelling a victory as his A Q is way ahead and can survive without the board revealing a 10.
Oops. Poker Gods said.

You can just hear Hive account@nicnas 's yelp all the way in the US as he wins the tourney in typical poker fashion.

Rounding out the money were:
Hive account@guyfawkes4-20 in 3rd Place earning 5 SBD (this guy survived a whole table with 7 missing players with myself. Talk about an experience)
Hive account@lebekons in 4th Place earning 3 SBD (he had the big stack later on in the tourney and was not afraid to use them)
Hive account@elalec in 5th Place earning .5 SBD (he had a short stack and made an incredible run into the final table and was on a roll until Hive account@guyfawkes4-20 hits the wheel straight on him to knock him out of the tourney)
