Team Up Season 3

Team Up Season 3 has arrived, and I hope you are excited as we are here at the Hive account@spl.

Team up play seems to be our most popular set of events. It brings out the highest level of competition among the members. It is a totally different game when each finishing position matters, and knowing that your teammates are counting on you to play in that fashion. Does that sometimes mean folding pocket jacks, or AK suited? Sure it does. At times you will have to make poker decisions based on team play, decisions you may not make in the same way if you were simply playing for 1st or nothing.

So you may ask, if you have to change the way you play, why even have team up play? I'll tell you why...because of the bragging rights. Oh yeah! Nothing is better than having your team's logo consistently appearing in posts' as the winner, and being able to rub that into the faces of the other teams. I for one find it to be the best part of this whole thing. Even more than the SBD ;)

Changing It Up

This season we are changing the payout a bit. The previous two season, the 1st place team has split 50 SBD among the three team players. In season 3, we are not only rewarding the 1st place finishing team, but also the best players, and the best teams for each week. Cause let's face it, sometimes you can play stellar poker, but all your teammates won't follow suit. That doesn't mean you shouldn't be rewarded for your winning ways.

As you can see above, we have increased the prize pool, and have spread the wealth.

Points

Number of Participants / Place Finished = Points (3 decimals)

Examples
40 players / 3rd place = 13.333 Points awarded
40 players / 2nd place = 20.000 Points awarded

Each Teams 3 players points are totalled for the Team Point total.

New To Team Up

Are you new to Lucksacks? Or been around a while, but haven't played in our team up edition? Not to worry, new teams are forming as we speak. All you need to do is find two other players who want to be on the team. Come up with a team name, and preferably a logo.

Want to join an already formed team? We have existing teams of three already, however changes can be made. Perhaps there are a some teams who want to switch things up a bit. You won't know unless you ask... come to SPL Discord chat and find a spot.
