Każdy kto choć trochę się zainteresował sztuką Młodej Polski musiał zetknąć się z Zakładem Żeleńskiego. Mieszcząca się w Krakowi przy nieistniejącej ulicy Swoboda firma była z całą pewnością najważniejszym przedsięwzięciem w Polsce tworzącym sztukę w duchu brytyjskiego ruchu reformy rzemiosła Art & Crafts. To, że dotąd nie odbyła się żadna wystawa monograficzna jemu poświęcona można wytłumaczyć chyba tylko trudnością do dotarcia, znajdujących się często w rękach prywatnych, dzieł sztuki. Ten stan rzeczy zmieni się już w przyszłym tygodniu, bowiem Muzeum Archidiecezji Warszawskiej organizuje wystawę „Światłem malowanie. Witraże i mozaiki z Krakowskiego Zakładu Witrażów S.G. Żeleński (1902–1952)” autorstwa Danuty Czapczyńskiej-Kleszczyńskiej, badaczki która poświęciła wiele lat na dokumentowanie działalności Zakładu.
Anyone who has even a slight interest in the art of Young Poland must have come across the Żeleński Workshop. Located in Krakow on the non-existent Swoboda street, the company was certainly the most important enterprise in Poland creating art in the spirit of the British Arts & Crafts movement. The fact that there has not yet been a monographic exhibition dedicated to it can probably only be explained by the difficulty of accessing, often held in private hands, works of art. This situation will change next week, as the Museum of the Warsaw Archdiocese is organizing an exhibition "Painted in Light: Stained Glass and Mosaics from the Krakow Stained Glass Workshop S.G. Żeleński (1902–1952)" authored by Danuta Czapczyńska-Kleszczyńska, a researcher who has devoted many years to documenting the activities of the Workshop.
