I have seen many a political spectrum quizzes in my day, none worse than the one I took in 8th grade. The questions couldn't have been more leading for an indoctrinated mind such as my own and all of my classmates. "Should government help the poor?", "Should we feed the starving?", "House the homeless?", all ridiculously emotionally charged questions for a simple mind to respond with, "But of course!, Won't someone please think of the children?!?" Of course my classmates and myself wanted these things to be taken care of, but we were not taught that the free market even existed. I tested out (shockingly!) as a democrat! I was raised in a conservative household and held those beliefs very close to my chest. So to see that my political identity was the exact opposite was morally and cognitively confusing for my 14 year old brain.

So I've chosen not to partake in political spectrum quizzes since then because they all seem to be loaded with emotional seeking responses. Until I ran across this one the other day and a few questions right off that bat were at the crux of what led me to where I am today. I won't get into the specific questions, and will rather just say that this quiz is probably like no other political spectrum quiz you've taken before. I didn't come up with it and I don't know who did, but it asks direct, specific and non-vague questions (did I clarify well enough there that the questions are to the point? specific? and might make you feel uncomfortable?...good!) to identify where your beliefs lie on the political spectrum.
You will probably be surprised with the outcome if you answer the questions honestly, most likely because you have never been asked questions like this before.
I would be delighted if not only you would take this questionnaire, but share with me where you originally thought you sat on the chart, and where the quiz placed you based on your responses.
I am putting the link HERE again in case you missed it above that will take you to the quiz website. Thanks for reading and hopefully participating!
