Xi recently secured his third term as leader of China after scrubbing the age limit. He is well and truly a modern monarchy now. Markets reacting the way they have is no surprise. China is focusing on quality growth over quantity, but simply doesn't have the embedded culture to do so.

He wasn't really that great of a public speaker when I supported him for President, honestly. But at nearly 90 years of age, it's a bit cringe. I'm sure he's significantly sharper than the average 90 year old, but his habit of starting a new sentence before he's halfway through his first one, only to fail to finish that one either.. the drifting off.. makes me a bit sad.

I hope he's happy and healthy and there's no loss of love. But it's difficult to listen to.
I don't need to point out the supposedly cancer stricken Putin and the bumbling fool that is Biden.
Is it not the case that the world is currently being led by people quite literally about to kick the bucket? How can you have 'skin' in the game long enough to see the effects of your governing come through if the 'skin' is already turned to dust?
It certainly makes a compelling argument for Rishi Sunak at 42 years old. I'll pass judgement on him as I am non-the-wiser on British politics.
