It just seems as though Biden can't catch a break when speaking. Even though I do not think the deserves to be where he is right now and definitely think that he and his political pals manipulated their way to the nomination, I kind of feel bad for him.
In case you are one of the sensible people that didn't watch his campaign speech from his home in Delaware, Joe Biden's remarks were frequently interrupted by a lot of different things, the funniest was some extremely loud honking geese outside of his home. It lead to Biden getting sidetracked and unfortunately him also cracking a very not-funny joke about how the geese were actually "cheering for him!"
There were also phones ringing during the live broadcast as well as what we presume to be a security agent who kept wandering around in the background.
This isn't the first time that these feathered friends have interrupted him either. In a previous television appearance there were loud honking geese that kept overpowering his microphone during a virtual roundtable about the coronavirus. Joe cracked an equally not funny joke about it then too saying "they are trying to get away from the virus."
Biden gaffes so frequently that for anyone that was considering trying to get on board with the guy in order to defeat Trump must have a really difficult time defending him. He has a wonderful array of gaffes including saying that "poor kids are just as talented as white kids" and how he suggested that miners (people who work in mines, not people under 18) should "learn to code" if their mining jobs are eliminated by new green policy.
The list goes on and on but one of my favorites is when he reacted to a correspondent from CBS news, who could largely be considered a media ally by telling the journalist to "calm down" when it was actually Biden who appeared to be all worked up.
Then of course there was the virtual Tampa Bay rally that was so plagued with technical issues that it really just made Joe look as though he was completely unfamiliar with technology even though to be fair, the failures of this rally can't exactly be blamed on him.
It just seems as though Biden is incapable of escaping gaffes even when he is being interviewed by friendly reporters from CNN who try their best to finish his thoughts for him and cover for his mistakes. A really good one is where he talked about his 3-point plan to combat something and then proceeds to list only 2 points.
I have said before that I don't believe that there are actually any people out there that feel great enthusiasm for a potential president Biden. Sure there are a lot of people that would rather vote for a housecat than President Trump but honestly.... this guy?
I for one am very hopeful that the virus situation can be sorted out before the elections in November so that we can see live debates between Trump and Biden. Not because I actually care what either of them have to say but because it is going to be comedy gold. Between Trump's penchant for rambling and being very mean and Joe apparently losing his train of thought 4 seconds into a remark about just about anything, we are going to be very well entertained, shocked, and probably a tiny bit disgusted.
