After a few tough years we have finally done it. My party, the Örebro party, passed the percentage barrier and now takes two mandates in the city council of Örebro.
It would really require a book to describe the long journey I have done in a few years and I'm really glad that we will now give the voters what they expect from us.
Now the media seems to pay attention to us, which will make it easier to participate in debates. The actual organization of the next election will be easier because we do not now have to deal with a large part in the case of ballot papers. Obviously, I'm not satisfied with my just over 40 votes. But it is of course the total amount that is counting and now we take the next step into the politics.
What has become apparent is how the traditional right-left scale is no longer usable. It is true that it started as a young left-wing group. It's also true that I've been part of the left. But something I learned during the trip is that you can have principles, and as long as other people's principles still benefit you, they are useful. So call us left or right if you want to. I do not believe it really explains who we are or how we think.
In any case, I just wanted to share with me because it has been a long time of nervousness but I'm so glad it's over now. I hope to have the opportunity to tell you more about the Örebro Party and what we are dealing with.
