To be a statist is to be a criminal. It is complicit in large-scale institutionalised robberies (taxation), and murder (war). It's supporting the biggest mafia ever created. In short, it is to support and promote aggression.
To defend the State - however minimal it may be - is to grant absurd privileges to certain people (usually the most demagogic and deceitful) to practice aggression and coercion against other individuals - whether they agree or disagree. Most statist supporters support democracy; they claim to be democrats. The point is that democracy is a totally illegitimate system (see below). They do not - and there is little chance that they will - as they have been manipulated from a very early age through state education.
It is the state that decides what a person should study - and, moreover, forces them to do so. It has, therefore, well-controlled what a person learns throughout his or her life and this is achieved through compulsory education. They support free and compulsory education (which it is not, in fact, paid for with money previously stolen from taxpayers) and say it is for our own good. In reality, it is in the state's interest to have the literate population; they can manipulate us better through their education (because that is how we are able to read the books that interest them). They force us, arbitrarily, to read certain authors that they believe convenient. But why these and not others?
If we look closely, they teach us the geography of the State (why do we have to learn the geography of a piece of land they call countries and not another?), the history of the State, the language of the State, the politics of the State, the laws of the State... All this is for us to worship and venerate the State. Pure and hard manipulation. At the outset, they already put barriers - which do not actually exist - between the different countries. We are already separated by the little pieces of land with imaginary lines. They create a kind of national sentiment for us to defend the state.
Democracy is an absurd system of social organization. It is a majority dictatorship against minorities; even though this majority has no idea what it votes for. It is a system in which 51% of the population can overturn the rights or wishes of the remaining 49%. It is giving the necessary power to a group - which may not be very lucid - to organize and decide on the rights of others. And the only justification is that they are more. It's like putting mathematical or physical laws to the vote. Even if the vast majority believed that the Earth was flat, it would not indicate that they were right. Most of them, on many occasions, can be very wrong (and, in fact, history confirms this).
The statist is a person who has been manipulated by the State since he was very young. A person who finds it legitimate - and even necessary - to let the State put its hand in our pockets and take away more than 50% of our fair earnings. The statist also supports or legitimizes wars against other states for our protection.
