Hello to all my steemit friends. I was inspired reading all the introductory articles about you all, some of your stories are entirely relatable. I thought this was the best time to introduce myself to all my friends out here. I am Azan Hassan who lives in Dubai and works in a corporate role. My journey into politics started just recently. In school, when I was introduced to Political studies, I realized how I enjoyed learning more about legislation, assemblies, political parties and their effects on the world. I wanted to be a part of a political party but due to disapproval from the family, my interest diminished.
My friends and family in the above picture Recently, when my son was studying Politics, I realized how much I missed this subject. I told my son how politics organizes life, how countries work, how decisions are taken on injustice, how there is a growing need for politics in a country. My son actively participates in school rallies and debates. He is, in fact, one of the chosen candidates to stand for the elections.
Although the dictionary meaning of politics would state ‘activities associated with the governance of a nation in a prolonged debate between parties in power’, I see politics in everyday living, interlinking everything. Dubai is one example of how politics creates a dominant and peaceful ambience. All nations reside here peacefully and with brotherhood. An actual example of living Politics is here. I watch the news; I read newspapers, I am part of a political party (in my mind), and it's great stress relief. I have a poster on my worktable quoted by Mao Zedong, a Chinese leader-
