Families around the United States and elsewhere are being bothered by police over their yard sales in recent weeks. For some families that have received citations from the police they have tried to repeatedly hold a yard sale despite being warned multiple times that they shouldn't by the state.
"Nonessential Yard Sales"
If you have been thinking about setting up your own garage or yard sale in the coming weeks to get rid of some unwanted items or to try and make a needed profit, you will be taking a risk seeing as many places are currently cracking down on that action.
Do we need to be filling up prison cells with people having yard sales?
People shouldn't have their lives ruined over a simple garage sale, that's not what freedom is supposed to look like.
A Solution? Virtual Garage Sales
To try and get around the restrictions, now we see the emergence of virtual garage sales.
By setting up a virtual garage sale authorities are hoping that it will keep the traffic and social contact to a minimum. Some regions are still allowing small yard sales and garage sales at this time, that are limited to a certain amount of people and must maintain social distancing standards, among other stipulations.
