You raise a point that I have heard in many quarters from many different people and I understand why you say that. Politics and politicians seems to be the same in several ways and seem to lead the country into the same mess. At the same time though, certain groups do get very different treatment from the Republican or Democrat parties (see Dreamers, ethnic minorities, women) which stems from different philosophical outlooks. Ultimately if traditional politics doesn't satisfy you, it's up to you to take charge and break free from your government!
