What We Know So Far
Kid Rock for Senate? We’ve already seen the rumor get more real each day. Here’s a little re-cap on what we know so far about his policies and his campaign:
Generally Kid Rock is riding the populist wave of middle-right Americans who dislike government. A quick glance over his Twitter shows Kid Rock is a patriotic freedom-loving guy with no love for PC culture. Not a liberty candidate and not an establishment hack, yet. Trump carried the same aura but hasn’t exactly championed individual liberty (War on Drugs round 2, anyone?).
Campaign Strategy
Rock wants to run a centrist campaign to make a change: “I was beyond overwhelmed with the response I received from [people] that are just simply tired of the extreme left and right bull****”. He’s looking into the Republican primary, and he’s steady supporter of Donald Trump, but his policies? Probably going to land somewhere in centrist-stan.
As for infrastructure, he has a lot of potential. “I am creating a 501(c)(4) - a non-profit organization for the promotion of voter registration… Not only can I raise money for this critical cause, but I can help get people registered to vote at my shows.” Kid Rock already holds an audience of thousands of patriotic Americans. Converting them into voters will be the challenge, but if he succeeds then he’ll have a stronger shot at victory than you think.
Grassroots Support
Whether he’s behind it or not, he’s also picking up political steam on twitter with a grassroots account linking Kid Rock to Trump, the MAGA movement, and general patriotic/anti-PC ideals. As of today Senator Kid Rock has 9,500 followers after only two months on Twitter.
“[I]f I decide to throw my hat in the ring for US Senate, believe me… it’s game on mthr**ers. -- Kid Rock”. Regardless of your opinion this is a must-match race.
