Are we approaching WW3?

The world has witnessed 2 major wars like no other in its history; WW1 and WW2. With the recent geopolitical tensions in the Middle East with Syria and the countries who are involved in that quagmire, it seems like war is brewing in the horizon.

If we take a look into history we start to notice a disturbing pattern, usually after a major global economic downturn, war ensured. One example, was WW2 after the Great Depression of 1929.

With the next Great Recession which is to take place soon, it is no coincidence that global geopolitical tensions are in the rise.

Is WW3 a possibility or even an inevitability?
