We never had a republic. Republics protect the natural rights of the minority from the majority. The smallest minority is one. I reject all outside rulers for any reason. A king doesn't rule me, and a mob doesn't either.
You won't change the system from within it either, and voting is a complete joke. We do not pick the candidates. It is a selection, not an election. We are selecting from a couple choices, and those choices were already picked.
It's like when I ask my kids, "Do you want Dairy Queen or McDonalds?" They get the illusion that they are in control when they are not. They don't realize the drastic limitations I have placed on them by picking the range of their choices in advance.
That's not liberty.
We shouldn't seek to fix the system. We should walk away from it, and it should not be replaced. True individual liberty will only be found when people understand that they have to accept the responsibility that comes along with liberty. Most people are not willing to do that though.
Therefore, how do I find a way to coexist with that vast majority who demand a ruler and expect me to submit to the same? It's the question of my life really. I'm not sure what the answer is, but I want those people to leave me alone.
The whole idea of politicians properly representing us is a joke, right? Neither of you seriously think that would ever happen, right? Even all the way down to an HoA, the people who get in charge are put there for a reason. It isn't one in your favor either.
The same is true for sheriffs, city councils, and other local government. You have no control over those people as the average person. Those people are influenced by the people who get them elected and keep them elected. They are controlled by the largest bidders.
We as individuals will never take that power back. It just isn't possible with any system from what we have to full fascism/communism. If there's a system, the elite will take it over for their benefit. Uhm, duh. ;-)
The drawing of districts is no surprise to me too. "It's a club, and you're not in it." Yes, why vote? It's unethical as well. Voting is a joke on the voter. The entire process is ridiculous and a waste of time. Walk away, folks. Walk away...
What exactly do you want to do with guns? We don't already have enough gun laws? Criminals follow gun laws? How about we focus on doctors prescribing SSRI's and fatherless homes instead. Those are the things all these shooters have in common after all.
There's no way to stop the funding problem either. No matter what restrictions you put in place, they will find a way around them. Politicians will always make sure the system is rigged in their favor. Again, I have no confidence in fixing the system from within it.
Sure, fascism (government combined with large corporations) is horrible, but communism so-called "direct democracies" are also horrible. By horrible I mean they are terrible for individual liberty. Let's not replace one tyranny with another.
You want to know how to solve the money influence problem with government? Get rid of government (at the level we have it today). Remove government's monopolies on control, law, etc., and the big money in politics instantly goes away.
Anything else will fail.
EPA?! LOL Come on! The EPA is a disaster. That service could be done by the private market far better. All government agencies could. "If I had my way, I'd rule you better." No, you wouldn't. You'd abuse the power just like everyone else.
Our economy is doing amazing? Tell that to all the unemployed or underemployed people. Tell that to all the young adults living with their parents. Tell that to all the people living with tons of debt, who can barely make it by because of currency devaluation, price increases, and low wages.
Healthcare isn't free. Who's going to pay for it? I know. Let's raise taxes even more, make people even more poor, and then everyone will have perfect teeth. har har This interview ends with grand delusions. Government will never innovate solutions for the masses. That will never happen.
Why? It is because governments will never be used to benefit individuals. It will instead be used for the benefit of a few. That is how all governments work and have worked and always will work. This is why I'm against them.
We need rules without rulers and governance without government.
That's not a slogan. It's reality. I applaud you guys for being so ideological and hopeful, but there is no solution with a ring of power. It will always corrupt the holder. None of those things you want will ever happen because they cannot happen within a government. Period.
You'll wield the ring and not abuse your power, ehh? Good luck. ha ha It was a good interview, and thanks for sharing it here on Steemit.com!
