Let's start with Hillary Clinton, as she is the candidate of whom I have the most straight-forward opinion. If I had to describe Hillary in one word, it would be...http://preview.tinyurl.com/j6ag4f5. I just couldn't trust her, what with her several political flip-flops on gay marriage (A topic I'm extremely vocal about) and immigration. Her email scandal, too, shows irresponsibility which can't be tolerated in such a high-profile position as president of the united states.
Next is Bernie Sanders. Now, while granted, I would consider myself fiscally conservative, I still believe Bernie would be the best option for the U.S as he wants to bring about universal health care similar to the British NHS, instead of using the affordable care act, which mandates the citizen buys insurance (which I speculate involved a bit of bribery.)
And last, the Trumpster... While he does get a hard time by the paid off Hilary-supporting media, I think he really could bring about security for America, decrease illegal immigration, and maybe bring jobs to Americans, but at what cost? Should we give up our first amendment rights for marginally better security?! I'd rather have a 50/50 chance of being shot every time I walk out the door instead of giving up my basic rights for 10/90 chances in my favour.
And this is something that Ireland has dealt with. Well, Northern Ireland technically. The Troubles, a period of civil unrest between Protestants and Catholics, we never gave up our rights, despite shootings and car bombs, and stabbings being a day-to-day occurrence. Why can't America do the same?
