- Budget is a joint responsibility of the Executive and Legislature. The legislature has the right to reduce or increase. The onus lies with the President to engage / lobby the NASS for an agreeable outcome. Buhari failed in this and seek for a scapegoat. This does not make excuse for the band of thieves both from the President to the National Assembly. They are kettles calling pots black. Hypocrites!
(2). Why have the President not presented the 2019 budget by February to enable NASS work on it, dialogue with Executive, and get budget ready by September. That's standards global practice to enable businessmen / investors plan ahead and make their own budget. That's how economies are run systematically.
(3). Buhari should have refused to sign the budget, raise his hypocritical alarm, and return it to the NASS to prove his convictions. Nay, he won't do so because can of worms will be opened by NASS. It's always been a budget of yams by the Government, and as long as you run a unitary government where the jackals are struggling to loot oil resources, the trend will subsist.
(4). It's all a celebration of hypocrisy and eulogization of mediocrity by some hailers and wailers, but most of all, Mr. President is pathetic in his approach. So sad!
(5). Restructure Nigeria as a Confederacy for accelerated development, Nigeria as presently constituted is a gigantic fraud, a charade, a sin! 419! First class hypocrisy!
