Hold your horses, I can hear you thinking. Are you really going to tackle this? Why? Well, because why not. It seems like everyone is so worried about scoring points, that none of the nuance is present, so might as well put my thoughts somewhere.
The hearing
As with the comedy show that is the US Government these days, its going as per usual. One side thinks the nominee is the best thing since sliced bread, and the other side things judge Ketanji Brown Jackson is the reincarnation of Marx.
Also, as per usual, they are both wrong and disgustingly so, but I'll try to address the pachydermata in the room. The question that is making everyone on the republican team freak out, as if they transgender people are about to take over every aspect of life.
THE AGENDA!!!
Every time I hear this whole gay agenda shannaningans, I cant help but to laugh at the idiocy. Yes, there are terrible with terrible ideas who say stupid things, who also happen to be gay, but there is no centralized gay shadow government attempting to erradicate humanity through the eradication of male/female relations.
What agenda? What is the agenda? For people who love who they wish? For people to have equal rights? Freedom? Is that an agenda? Because if it is, then we all have AN AGENDA, and we are all dangerous.
So setting the stupid idea of an agenda aside.
Why didn't she answer?
Does she not know what a woman is? Is that a hard question?
Certainly it makes no real sense to answer that she's not a biologist, because it does not require a degree in biology to have an opinion on this matter.
It's obvious to me that she did not answer because she is playing politics. She knows that whatever opinion she may give, it will be used to punish her for wrong thinking by the extreme elements of the political spectrum. In other words.
Does this matter?
That is the only relevant question to me. Well, it doesn't, and it probably never will. This is just a little show to distract all of us from the real bullshit happening behind the curtains.
Now, the show is good for clicks, good for views, good for ratings, all that stuff. But, it doesn't put food on your table or mine, and it certainly does not help bounce back the economy or stop the potential war heading our way.
