2. 135 Acres Worth Less Than $300,000?
Our first article is causing quite a stir already. It's been deleted from Facebook's Save Mills group and there's an effort underway to remove any reference to it from Slack. Gatekeepers have swiftly emerged to say "don't you worry your pretty little head about it" and tell us what to think. It's OK to question authority, as long as you only ask questions approved by authority.
We are presenting facts. Our sources are listed in our posts. If something is wrong - point to it. These posts are open to comments, unlike much of the online discussion about Mills' proposed closure. Challenge us, specifically and with receipts. What is disputed in what we have posted so far?
If this transaction is legitimate then it can withstand public scrutiny. If it must be veiled in a cloak of secrecy and covered with narrative control and censorship...can we be sure that this deal is really in the best interests of all stakeholders?
We must demand transparency, the future of Mills College is at stake.
Our only agenda is for Mills College to endure as a degree-granting institution. Mills has survived multiple major earthquakes, pandemics, wars, social upheavals, Great Depressions, dot-com crashes and more. If Mills can survive all that it can survive COVID, and anybody saying "there's no way out of this, we need to just give up" needs to be looked at with skepticism.
Who benefits in this deal?
Who loses?
What stakeholders were consulted on this decision?
What did they say?
What alternatives were explored before settling to ceasing to issue degrees?
Has a decision actually been made?
Did the Trustees already vote to end Mills College as a degree-granting institution, and it's too late?
Or did they vote to explore it, and there is still a vote coming up in the future to make this final?
These are entirely reasonable questions. Take a good look at those trying to stop you from asking them. Want to help #SaveMills? Share these questions and documented facts on social media where others can think for themselves too. Do your own research, read the source documents we are posting. Don't let those whose agenda is to shut down Mills College censor critical thought at this critical time.
The information below is no "conspiracy theory". It is cold, hard facts from Mills College's tax returns. If the information is false, this means the College filed false information with the IRS.
