If the power ever goes out--emp blast or what not--crypto will lose all its value. If you really think about it, there isn't intrinsic value behind crypto. What makes it different than fiat is that a central authority can't just make more. Gold and silver will hold their value pretty much forever no matter what happens (unless maybe mining asteroids becomes a thing, or making it in a particle accelerator gets a lot cheaper).
Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of crypto, but if you want a rock solid store of value, gold and silver is a good idea.
