The most important right you have is TO VOTE and it's being stolen by abusing the system!
Why is it the most important right? Because without it every other thing can be taken away from you.
In the United States we settle differences by voting. We appoint other citizens of like mind and character to act as our agents, to fairly promote our interests, with one caveat: Evenly protect rights of all.
But that's not what is going on.
example in point:
(CNN)A coalition of advocacy groups has launched a lawsuit to block Georgia from enforcing a practice critics say endangers the votes of more than 50,000 people in November and potentially larger numbers headed into the 2020 presidential election cycle.
It's important that no party should be able to do this....
Bad News First:
There are 5 suppression Efforts that have been going on for years but have been doubled down on because of the Republican shrinking party size.
- Closing polling places in communities of color and lower income working people.
- Purging eligible voters from the rolls without their knowledge
- Barring felons from voting
- Voter ID laws
- Eliminating early voting
and the fact "that equal rights under the law" and "rule of law" does not seem to be the same thing when it comes to the republican party, we have the attempt to disenfranchise just enough of the electorate to take over swing areas and then gerrymander on an unfair scale.
But this is not happaning in a couple of southern states there so much Voter Suppression Efforts Underway:
