Yesterday was yet another drama in Nigeria during the investigative probe of the national assembly into the Shaddy business of the Niger Delta Development Commission.
The people in trial was called upon to explain what they did with the money given to them to develop there region, you see them giving stupid excuse in national television and in the end nothing will happen to them and they will go Scot free and there's nothing me or you can do about it.
You know the funny thing about this whole story is that Niger Deltans fought the government before this NDDC and minister of Niger Delta was created. I'm a Rivers state guy and I know a lot of people that died for this struggle. Back then, we don't sleep on the bed because of fear of stray bullet between this militants and federal government troops. In the end, it turns out that all those fear of sleepless nights I had and also running from one place to another was all in vein. Everyone was only fighting for there pockets alone. With all this we're seeing with our very eyes, people will still come and be agitating for secession into BIAFRA, ODUDUWA AND NIGER DELTA.
From what i watched on TV Yesterday, I know longer see any reason for division because we are all deceiving ourselves. If at all, we 're to agitate for secession, we've to kill all the thieves within before blaming the north for marginalization. People we send to the national assembly to represent us, we never raise a motion for a bill. All of them are just there for themselves squandering money meant to develop NIGER DELTA region. Wherever late Ken saro wiwa and his comrades are, they will be so disappointed with the current happenings of Niger Deltans. The likes of Fela Anikulapo kuti will be rolling in his graves because they have all died in vain. These are men that fought for true justice with there songs and no one in our generation is able to continue where they stop from. Even me writing can't do anything about it. 🤣😂🤣
With the point we've reach in corruption, if a "death penalty or life imprisonment" is not used as punishment for offenders, corruption will never stop.
