The Swedish government has presented a new bill on quotas on company boards. By 2019, 40 percent of board members must be women, otherwise the companies can expect heavy fines. This is another enterprise-hostile suggestions among many. It's absolutely not necessary and it's also a significant interference with the property rights. But as always leftists fallaciously believe that inequality or uneven distribution necessarily equals 'oppression' or 'discrimination'.
According to the proposal the fines will be between 250,000 and 5 million SEK, depending on the size of the company. Justice Minister and Social Democrat Morgan Johansson is even willing to go so far as dissolving the companies that do not meet the requirements of the government.
