There was no income tax for most of America's history. There should be no income tax, because it's unconstitutional, unnecessary, and contrary to the interests of Americans. Wages aren't even income, which is defined as passive gains from investments. There is no lawful tax on wages, and everyone that pays taxes on their wages is submitting to slavery in violation of the constitution to deprive themselves of their rightful property.
