I have been following the news about the political struggle in the US between Democrats and Republicans. In the beginning I was indeed affected by the discourse of Donald Trump. He reminded me of bad bosses that I have had in Venezuela: ruthless people who wanted to pay me very little for my services and who had a very disgusting code of ethics.
However, as time kept passing I learned more about who his adversaries where: Bernie Sanders, whose project was nothing but a complete imitation of the economic and political policies applied in Venezuela, and Hillary Clinton also fell before my eyes because of her lies and hypocrisy: she reminded me too much of the political "Opposition" in Venezuela, who are also leftists, but who distinguish themselves from the government for being "social democrats." In practice that means absolutely nothing and nothing changes as both government and opposition are leftists.
So, in the light of the above, so see California and other Democrat-run states start falling to crumbles is nothing surprising to me. Actually, it's just the inevitable consequence of applying socialist policies on the economy and society.
The only difference between what you can see in this video and many places in Venezuela is that American poverty is somewhat more glamorous. Those people have tents, actual tents, and they are still not eating from trash-bags... but they could end up like us if they keep going on that path.
Or you could very well live history, inform yourself about the realities of other countries and compare them with your own, which is my case.
