This morning I did a shout-out to the man behind the leaking of the NSA-program, PRISM and XKeyscore through an encrypted mail.
Dear Edward Snowden,
Let me first say that I commend you for the things you have done for the international community.
I want to thank you for making us aware of the unconstitutional spying program of the US, the corruption in politics and the filthy lies in mainstream media. Your actions will not be forgotten, nor will they be in vain.
There is just one thing that strikes me as a little bit odd; your active usage of Twitter. If you like using twitter to keep in touch, that is just fine. But playing a central role in keeping governments, politicians and journalists honest, I think you would be much better off on a platform where you are not subjected to the Patriot Act or 140 characters.
It would be my honour to invite you to join our community on Steemit.com. It is a blockchain social media platform where you can post everything you want us to know about without fear of censorship. And because it is based on the blockchain everything you post is immutable and time-resistant, so the say.
I am aware of the sacrifices you took to make a change. How you fled the country, left everyone you knew behind to inform the people about the atrocities that the US government committed against people worldwide. Only to be called a traitor by the brainwashed people and the people you wanted to keep honest. At the time (2014) there was no blockchain social media platform like Steemit.com where you can get paid for participating and reporting on real issues. But now there is: So what are you waiting for?
There are a lot of fans on Steemit.com who admire your devotion, bravery and honesty and who’d be definitely be loyal followers of your work. And I for sure will follow your work if you signup and keep us all up to date regarding geopolitics and politics.
Best regards,
Yasien
p.s. The true reason I send you this invitation is because I lately find myself thinking about something you said was your biggest fear. That nothing will change. And I don’t want to be indifferent about what you did and that’s why I am reaching out.
