The world generates million tons of garbage at daily basis.

If it was biodegradable I would take a sigh of relief whenever I'd see a garbage that in few days it will be decomposed and the soil would get some nutrients.
It's a damn plastic, which will continue to exist for hundreds of years to come. Our so convenient plastic bag one gets at provision stores takes around 20 to 1,000 years to decompose.
No plastics are designed to decay naturally, still companies keep making them, we keep using them. Use paper? Yeah cut trees. We need a better alternative.
