Raising the positivety in me
A Sanguine is described as being someone who is positive or optimistic in apparently bad or difficult situations.
I have had many personality tests done on me over the years. They all yielded quite similar results: 45% Melancholy, 40% Sanguine, 10% Phlegmatic and 5% Choleric - (roughly). Anybody who knows me will tell you that the Melancholy is definitely my strongest personality trait. I am incredibly analytical and will very rarely take an uncalculated risk. I work hard and strive to be the best at what I enjoy doing.
Ever since I can remember, I have been told that I give really great advice when a friend is in need (people don’t always use it though). This good advice, I believe, comes from my lovely balance of Melancholic (analytical) and Sanguinic (active and social) personality traits. My Sanguin ensures that I am open enough to be approachable with your conundrum, yet not too open that the whole world will hear about your secrets. My Melancholy helps to find the solution and comforts you with either personal experience or research in the matter.
Things have happened to me that I wish never happened - and things have happened that I wish could happen everyday. Thank goodness for my Sanguine trait! Without it I would be a bitter, bitter person.
I have decided that 2018 will be my year to beef up my Sanguine side and become a little more rounded. Here is how I aim to do this:
- Be more actively sociable and encourage positive sharing.
- Exercise more! (You know how exercise releases endorphins, and endorphins make you happy?)
- Spend more time writing. (I always get a huge release of positivity when I write about something that interests me.)
- Read more positive media.
That’s it, a short list of things to do to strengthen the positive personality trait within myself, effectively spreading it to everybody I come in contact with.
I hope you all have your lists to spread the positive vibes!
MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Thank you for this awesome contest!
