In its 3rd year, the Gallop 2017 Global Emotions Report shows many Latin American countries have the most positive feelings and emotions in the world. Topping the list - Paraguay, Costa Rica, and Panama. Also included: Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Chile, and Colombia.

Unlike the World Happiness Report that looks at longevity, social, and economic factors, the recent Gallop Report asks just 10 questions about how you felt -- yesterday.
- Did you feel well-rested?
- Were you treated with respect all day?
- Did you smile or laugh a lot?
Of the 142 countries and close to 150,000 adult interviews, the US ranked 38th -- tied with 8 other countries including Brazil, the U.K., Germany, Austria, and South Africa.
# Tips for More Positive Emotions Improving your emotional health takes a little effort: 1. **Own your stuff** - only you can control your reactions, not others.
