Part of my choice in becoming a personal trainer and wellness coach was to try to help make people feel better and enjoy life more. While a lot of what I do deals with the physical, so much of total health involves the mental, as well. That is one of the reasons why I think the brand new daily challenge by is such a wonderful thing! Who cares if you have a hot body if you cannot laugh and find a bit of joy in life every day? ;)
Wednesday is all about the fun, so today I'm flipping around to take care of my body from a different angle--on the inversion table! Not only is it great to stretch out your spine and bring oxygen to the brain, but I think it is kind of fun, too. How often do you get to hang upside down as an adult? Probably very rarely, though children do it regularly. I know I definitely need to incorporate it into my wellness routine a bit more. It's also a fantastic way to take a few moments and chill out in the midst of a busy day.
As if it wasn't fun enough on it's own, I brought my little friend from to work again today. Blue turkey enjoyed this a bit more than our last trip to the gym when we ran intervals on the treadmill. It's good to have a friend around when you are using the inversion table to give you a boost in case you get stuck. ;)
And if you really want to laugh, try taking selfies while dangling upside down from your ankles. It definitely took a few tries to get some that weren't completely unflattering!
Though Wednesday is coming to an end here in my neck of the woods, I hope you all found a bit of fun in your day. Definitely check out the #positivechallenge and if you need a little light in your life!
*Disclaimer--if you have certain health problems (specifically high blood pressure), make sure to consult a physician before using an inversion table.
