I was just checking reverio.io (though I kinda wish they'd gone with rever.io instead :D) and figured I'd try it out with a question, I think there was someone with a similar question but when I clicked to open it it wasn't loading. Either way, I'm interested to see how this evolves as I'm certain it's still early on and there's loads of upside left to it even thought it looks quite great so far!
Some thoughts about it without having looked too deep or read too many of the main accounts' posts about it, so don't hate me cause I may have missed it being discussed already. For the record I also never really used quora so I don't have a lot of experience nor am I trying to make it be like it.
View counter would be great, especially with the posh integration it'd be nice to see how much views a question and answer receives on their own.
Being able to post into specific communities rather than just use tags would be nice to give communities that allow these kind of posts/questions the room to be placed there. It's not like reverio would lose anything out on that.
Token, I'm pretty sure a token was mentioned but here are some of my thoughts on what I'd like to see it do/be.
Scarce, don't print too many tokens out early on and don't make inflation too high, I'm personally tired of tokens with millions-trillions of supply it just makes things look stupid but that's of course just an opinion and different from the eye of the beholder.
Don't give the team too big of an allocation, I know team members need to be rewarded in some way and costs need to be met but I like tokens that strive to "invest" in their own projects to then profit off of the project later on along with everyone else when it reaches popularity rather than try and make the money back + some profit as early as possible and then not "care" as much about what happens with it.
Retrospective rewards are a great way to reward early users of the project, it's one of those things I've come to like personally as it rewards those who used the service without motives to just use it for the rewards and is a great way to distribute tokens to those actually interested in seeing it through for the long haul. Then of course also inflation based on continuous usage, performance, views, etc, but those are quite normal in this space I reckon.
Other than that not that many other things that come to mind right now that I'd wanna see changed/added with the way things currently stand. Will try take some time to read the official posts of reverio to see what else they may have mentioned and are planning.
Also sorry if these posts are really not appropriate, but due to autovotes I didn't just wanna ask a simple question and call it a day. So I guess another option would be to allow people to do different things with the post rewards by allowing them to set beneficiaries to certain things like hive.fund, hbd.funder, null, or something specific they'd want to forfeit the rewards to if they're one of those users that often receives bigger autovotes. Edit: figured out these already exist in the "advanced options", after a mini heart attack thinking my text here got deleted I realized I could choose community and beneficiary rewards, nice!
Anyway, what other projects on Hive are you involved in and interested in seeing what's going to happen with them and how they'll evolve over time and why?
