Sin embargo, la parte más atractiva de la feria, era fuera de esas carpas, habían largas hileras de grandes todos blancos donde estaban los verdaderos protagonistas de la feria, ovejas, cabras, y búfalos por todos lados, si algo me impactó fue ver la dedicación y el nivel de cuidados que cada uno de los criaderos mostraba tener con sus animales, lo tranquilos y acostumbrados a las personas, gorditos, algunos comían, otros dormían o jugaban con sus criadores, y su pelaje, un pelaje limpio, suave y muy brillantes. Creo que es importante reconocer el esfuerzo que están haciendo esos criaderos y fincas para mantener sus animales en tan buen estado, la agricultura, la ganadería y todos los parecidos, no es un rubro fácil, y menos en Venezuela.

En mi caso, es primera vez que veía tan de cerca en persona a un búfalo, que animales tan enormes y nobles, siempre me parece increíble que existan animales tan grandes solo comiendo pasto, las maravillas de la naturaleza.

However, the most appealing part of the fair was outside those tents, where there were long rows of large, all-white animals—the true stars of the show: sheep, goats, and buffalo everywhere. If anything struck me, it was seeing the dedication and level of care that each of the breeders showed toward their animals—how calm and accustomed to people they were, plump, some eating, others sleeping or playing with their breeders, and their coats, clean, soft, and very shiny. I think it’s important to recognize the effort these breeders and farms are making to keep their animals in such good condition. Agriculture, livestock farming, and all related fields are not an easy business—and even less so in Venezuela.

In my case, it was the first time I had seen a buffalo up close in person—such enormous and noble animals. It always seems incredible to me that animals this big can exist just by eating grass; the wonders of nature.
