Inicialmente recortamos el trozo de cartón en forma rectangular y lo pintaremos con un difuminado entre azul y turquesa, acompañado por unos “puntitos” en blanco, y a un extremo le agregaremos un arabesco en verde junto con unos corazones en rojo, esta será la base donde realizaremos el retrato.

A continuación con la ayuda del cutter cortamos a la mitad una de las semillas de mango y extraemos su contenido, repetimos este procedimiento con otra semilla pero esta vez solo utilizaremos un extremo de ella, estas piezas se emplearan como las orejas de la yegua y su potrillo, a continuación se las pegamos a otras semillas de mango y de esta manera hemos armado sus cabezas.
Then with the help of the cutter we cut one of the mango seeds in half and extract its content, we repeat this procedure with another seed but this time we will only use one end of it, these pieces will be used as the ears of the mare and its colt, then we glue them to other mango seeds and in this way we have assembled their heads.
Una vez hayamos finalizado el paso anterior, ubicaremos la cabeza del potrillo y de su madre en un extremo del retrato, dejando cierto espacio para agregar el resto de los detalles, comenzando por teñir la cabeza de la madre en rosa y también le pintaremos el resto del busto, repetimos este paso en su hijito pero este será en azul, para los ojos de ambos utilizamos los tonos azul, blanco y negro al igual que emplearemos estos mismos colores para definir los detalles restantes.
Once we have finished the previous step, we will place the head of the foal and its mother at one end of the portrait, leaving some space to add the rest of the details, starting by dyeing the mother's head in pink and we will also paint the rest of the bust, we repeat this step in his son but this will be in blue, for the eyes of both we use the shades of blue, white and black as we will use these same colors to define the remaining details.
Para complementar la decoración recortamos varias tiras del papel crepe, las doblamos y haremos unas pequeñas florecillas en ambos tonos, ahora pegamos la hoja de palma en la cabeza de la yegua para que sea su cabello, después le tejemos un mechón de este y le pegamos en varias partes las florecillas que teníamos reservadas, luego le daremos al cabello la forma de una curva que termina en el busto del potrillo, de esta manera pareciera que la madre le está dando su afecto a su pequeño hijo, seguidamente cortamos un trozo de la cinta y la adherimos en la parte posterior del retrato y así poder colgarlo.
To complement the decoration we cut several strips of crepe paper, fold them and make some small flowers in both shades, now we glue the palm leaf on the mare's head to be her hair, then we weave a lock of it and glue in various parts the flowers that we had reserved, then we will give the hair the shape of a curve that ends in the foal's bust, in this way it seems that the mother is giving her affection to her little son, then we cut a piece of the tape and adhere it to the back of the portrait so we can hang it.
Ahora que hemos finalizado con este lindo retrato, podemos colgarlo en el lugar que nos guste y de esta manera poder disfrutar del amor y la ternura de una madre por su hijo que resaltan en esta obra.
