Now for our daily shots, once upon an early afternoon warm sun which was gentle as we were following a smaller road that climbed deeper into the Cordilleras.
That's when we had arrived finally at Barangay Ballay of Kabayan, Benguet which is a place that felt more like a hidden spot than just a pin on a map. The air was crisp and cool and the first thing we noticed.
Before we go to our booked transient house, we pulled over at a wide spot on the roadside. The spot was like the volume beauty dial turned all the way up. Before us was breathtaking lush, green mountains. Some slope were terraced or blanketed in green with patches of pine trees.
The famous "sea of clouds" of Benguet had settled in the mountains. "Quick, take a selfie photo!" my wife said. My wife, our good friend Dandreb and I took turns posing with the greenery as our backdrop with our smiles wide.
After taking those first photo memories, we continued to the transient house we booked. It was a simple concrete two storey structure nestled on the valley near the Lake Tabeo.
The luxury of staying here was the 360-degree view from its roof deck. From this new vantage point, the landscape looked even more majestic. We spent some good minutes here while taking more photos before going to the lake to register for a hike.
This was just our introduction to the place, some photos I had previously shared too. We were in the heart of Cordillera region thats on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Our afternoon was a slow, visually fulfilled and we were content knowing that many more beautiful photos and discoveries were sure to follow.
This looks like Windows XP wallpaper noh?
