James 5:16 says: Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righeous man availeth much.
When we sinned against a brother, especially the sin that is not unto death,we should admit,then confess to God first before confessing to the person we sinned against.
The confessing of sin is not to the priest.
It is our obligation as christains to forgive and pray for the person who sinned against us and not to condem or judge the person,but we should show love to them.
1 Peter 4:8 says: And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves:for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
God will forgive our sins especially when we admit and confess our sins before him.
Psalms 32:5 says:I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid,I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.
6 says: For this shall everyone that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
When a righeous man pray, God is delighted.
When we are obedient to God and keep his commandments, when we call upon him,he will answer us.
Isaiah 65:24 says: And it shall come to pass, that before they call,I will answer; and while they are yet speaking,I will hear.
If we pray without ill feelings, God will answer us.
When praying,we should pray with pure heart and a pure tongue so that God can listen to us.
We should pray without ceasing because prayer can do great thing.
Philippians 4:6 says:Be careful for nothing;but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Those things that seems impossible to man, when we pray God will make them possible for us because he is a merciful and loving God.
When we are face with challenges of life,we should fast and pray with faith in our heart and not doubt,God will interven in that situation.
James 1:6 says:But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that waverth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
God has a household in heaven and a household here on earth which is the church of God, and not the house build by men with hands.
1 Timothy 3:15 says:But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of truth.
Isaiah 56:7 says: Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offering and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine alter ;for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
The God of heaven and earth do not dwell in a temple made with hands, the house of God is a house of prayer.
The house of God in our time is the church of God.
There is a decipline to follow while praying to God.
We should learn the right way of prayer.
We should pray in an orderly manner.
We should knee down while praying facing the direction which according to the bible the glory of God of Isreal came from, which is the East.
Ezekiel 43:2 says: And, behold, the glory of the God of Isreal came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters:and the earth shined with his glory.
