Hello to all dear seamstresses and needle lovers, it's a pleasure to greet you on this beautiful evening!
Although it may seem simple, working with "A" cuts on somewhat wide and tight skirts has been a challenge for me, in the case of sewing elastic to the skirt's waist and well adapting this elastic to this model if I say it is somewhat difficult because we do not know how our skirt would look on the person and according to the body shape, this skirt is for a client and well continuing with the sewing work I will be doing the simple tutorial for this skirt, unlike skirts with this cut being simple, this time I wanted a ruffle at the bottom of the skirt, the truth is it was two ruffles but the fabric was only enough for one, so today we are going to be making this little skirt model that I particularly liked a lot for its simplicity and style.
Materiales:// Materials:

- Elastico de 2 cm de ancho
- Hilo de coser
- Tijeras
- Máquina de coser
- Alfileres
- 1 meter of Indian fabric or any fabric of your choice that you can use for making a skirt
- 2 cm wide elastic
- Sewing thread
- Scissors
- Sewing machine
- Pins
Pasos a seguir://Steps to follow:
Paso 01
Step 01
Well friends to make our lives a little easier to make the skirt we will need the full width of the person's hip contour which is 116 cm x the length of the skirt which would be 70 cm these measurements are the measurements of my client's body, then how will I be cutting separately the flight the skirt we will cut it then 50 cm and the length of our flight of course 20 cm long, then we are going to cut the fabric folded to the right and pass half of the waist contour to the fabric and let's not forget to make the shape of the waist in the upper part of the skirt, that is, the sides we measure the length too and cut, then for the flight we take the same width 2 pieces in total cut like this and the length of 20 cm, we make a drop of 1 cm to the front piece of my skirt and well those are the pieces for our skirt and with the leftover fabric we stretch it, measure and make a half circle that would be the pieces of the skirt.
Paso 02
Step 02
We then begin to make and sew, before sewing we will use pins to hold the skirt on the sides so that it does not roll down and then we seal what is the skirt on the sides with overlock stitching. I do this then I move on to the machine that makes straight seams to reinforce the overlock stitching.
Paso 03
Step 03
Then we will be joining the end pieces on each side of the flight and we will sew them, then once I sew them I open the flight and we will directly sew the edge because then we will make a hem on the part of the flight below, but we will do that at the end, for now I will continue sewing the flight now to the skirt I will join it by the lower part, that is, inside and I will sew first with a straight seam to secure then I will sew it with an overlock seam.
Paso 04
Step 04
Here I continued sewing with overlock stitching the outline inside the flight attached to the skirt then we are going to take the width of the contour of our waist of the client or of us then we measure less 5 cm and cut the elastic, I will be sealing it with a straight stitch joining the tips to secure the elastic before sewing it to the fabric, then well I will sew the elastic along the outline of my skirt inside stretching the elastic little by little.
Paso 05
Step 05
I finish by sewing the elastic on the inside, folding it over, and well, all that's left is to sew the hem at the bottom and that's it. This is how we finish the skirt, which looks very pretty and elegant, perfect for meetings, events, work trips, and even for going to the beach 😁. Remember that you can modify the patterns and with this pattern you could even make simple and elegant dresses.
