Hello, friends of NeedleWorkMonday. Hope you are all fine with everything. Well, I have to surprise my wife with a sandals gift to the junior brother as a good and obedient in-law. One of the things that always make my wife happy even when we are having an issue is by surprising her with a gift. My wife loves and values gifts so much more than any other thing. Anyway, I don’t know if am gossiping about my family but I don’t think so because it is a reality for women.
One of the things that I used to chase other men away when my wife was still single is a gift that I always give her. Let me gist you a little, my wife never loved me from the beginning of our relationship because I had nothing, and every other man that used to come after her for a relationship had money and a car. So what I used to do when I didn’t have anything then that I was still going for her for a relationship is that I always make sure that I surprise her with a gift on her birthday, I also make sure that I will be the first person that will call her on phone that day, I will also take her out to good places where she can see natural creatures.
That was how I won the heart of my wife and today will are happily married and blessed with one beautiful daughter for now. As a needleworker make sure to also use your skill in craftwork to surprise your mother, wife/husband, children, cousins, and others.
Do you know why I decided to surprise my wife today with a gift of sandals to the junior brother; it is because since we got married, the brother has been staying with us and he has been faithful and obedient to the sister and me his sister’s in-law. At the time he came newly to our house, he had nothing to do for a living because he just finished secondary school and waiting to be admitted to the University.
I told him that it will be better for him to use this opportunity and learn shoemaking which he later agreed but since he started the shoemaking training with me, he has been faithful and obedient to me not minding that I am married to the elder sister. He used to make sure that he goes to the shop very early to sweep the shop before other of my shoemaking team will be at the shop too.
So today, he surprised me with how he is improving and loves the shoemaking handwork. So that was why I have put a smile on my wife by showing her that the younger brother is seriously improving with a sandals gift for the younger brother.
As a needleworker have you done something like this to your love once?
The materials I used for the sandals are:
Sole: Just like the name implies, these are materials used for the making of sandals, slippers, and shoes in the areas of needlework. The sole is commonly very important in the area of supporting the leather or the complete sandals from spoiling quickly. The sole is very important in shoemaking just like every other material.
Leather: this is another common material in shoemaking that is used for sandals, slippers, shoes, bags, and many other things in the area of needlework. The leather beautifies the sole more by bringing out the real design. The leather makes the leg to be more comfortable when wearing.
Buckle: In shoemaking, this is used to beautify the outlook of sandals or shoes. The buckle also supports holding the leg very tight to avoid pooling out when wearing.
Thread and sewing machine: the thread is always fixed to the sewing machine to help sew the leather according to the design and style of the sandals.
Gum: This is used to hold the leather and the sole very well to avoid being spoiled by water.
How the sandals were made:
Just like a surprise because I never planned it but I had the material already at the shoemaking office from the one I used to work for others.
I already know his measurement because I have worked with sandals for him before.
I used style to ask him what type of sandals he will like to expect anytime he want to buy or work sandals.
I measure the leather with a pencil.
I made out a sketch on the leather.
I cut the leather according to my sketch with scissors.
I put the buckle on the leather.
I have to sew the leather and the buckle that I just fixed too.
I have to sandpaper the sole and the leather.
I have to gum separately.
I have to place the leather and the sole under the sun for some hours for the gum to get dry.
I have to fix the sole and the designed leather well and then hit them with a hammer gently.
