In the bottom of Mt. Malindang,in the municipality of Don Victoriano, Misamis Occidental, there exists a majestic waterfall. Many says that this waterfall is full of wonder because where does this come from? There's no river nor stream above it, just an alive mountain because of trees. Almost everyone is asking the same question "where does the waterfall come from?"
We drove for one and half hour to reach Piduan Falls and see personally its beauty, because it is called as the Majestic Curtain Falls of Don Victoriano. Driving on the ascent of mountains. Our vehicle almost surrendered because of the heights. Our brake smoking because of the long downhill, just to reach Mt. Malindang's bottom and see this beauty.
On our way, there were many locals selling fresh vegetables on a very low price. Upon arriving on the entrance (one kilometer away from the waterfall), we paid an entrance fee of 100 pesos per head. The local government unit was maintaining the waterfall and was collecting money from all the visitors.
On the entrance, they built a big swimming pool, some cottages, and restaurants. There was also a wide parking lot where all the visitors could park. Then we were picked by a vehicle owned by the local government unit and it was the one which brought us to the Piduan Falls. Private vehicles are not allowed, but way back 2020-2023, this waterfall was not yet acknowledged by the local government unit and all tourists and nature lovers could go and enjoy the falls for free. But yeah, this is a capitalist world, so yeah.
This water going upside, at first, i thought this was natural, but we realized that maybe it is from a leak a broken hose. Because the people in Don Victoriano are making the Piduan Falls as their source of drinking water. Hmm, you're wondering where does the water come from, right?
Just look at that! The flowing water at our back came from the Piduan Falls. It is so clean, clear, and cold.
Not visible on the camera, but I was so wet. The water splashed very strong, and even standing five meters away from the falls, the splashes still reach you. I also drank from the waterfall after taking this photo.
And there were many people during this time, swimming at the bottom of the waterfall. I was amazed by them because it was soooo cold, but they were swimming.
At the same time, some people were funny because they were sitting on rocks while crossing their arms, mouth shaking, and freezing.
This is the majestic curtain falls of Don Victoriano, the Piduan Falls. I hope you'll get to visit this beauty in the future.
