Typhoon seems to be normal in our country. Not a year passed by that we don't experience a strong typhoon. That strong typhoon hit our our country recently.
Few days ago, news outlets and social media has been flooded my information that the country will be hit by a very strong typhoon which is if not as strong but stronger as Yolanda. Everyone seems to be prepared by the typhoon coming. To be honest, for me, I can't be bothered. Because there were instances that PAG-ASA seems to be exaggerated sometimes.
When the day of the landfall, I was in my girlfriends house with her grandparents. During the early hours of the day, the sky was dark and the rain keeps pouring. It was around 6pm when the wind started to hit the roofs, trees, walls, plants and anything it could pass by. Then, black out came.
My girlfriend and I decided to sleep in the living room because we were afraid that the windows will be shattered into pieces and water can also get it. Moments after that, her grandparents also moved in the living room. Just right after when we were all settled in the living room, stonger winds hit the rooftops, trees were like dancing nonstops, things were just carried away by the wind.
A few hours of being uncertain whats going to happen next, the wind finally stopped. We were scared with all the sound we heard from outside. Sai, was really scared as well. We were relieved thatbit ended. The next day, we dealt with so much trash, branches and leaves. I know, it could've been worse but we are thankful our house was built so sturdy that it didn't got that many damages.
I decided to go home to Talisay and had a hard time getting a ride so I decided to walk which gave me the opportunity to take these photos. I hope you and your families are safe now. Let's help one another to recover from this disaster. Sending love and light to everyone!
PS As of this writing, no electricity, now water in most areas of Cebu and internet connection is unstable.
