Earlier this year, I decide to go to Thailand for the 11th time in my life LOL. But did you know that I never go to Ayutthaya, even I'd been to Thailand so many times? It's funny, isn't it?
I decide to go to Thailand and head to Ayutthaya. I even include it in my itinerary, highlight my 'must visit place' in my itinerary. Often, once I'm in Bangkok, I forget about other things. Bangkok is truly fascinating to me.
I leaving my hotel in the morning and catch the first train, then return in the afternoon. I thought that would be enough, but it wasn't. I even lost myself at Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, my most must-see spot in Ayutthaya.
This temple is quite open, not housed in a building, with several viewing points. Here, the Buddha statues are outdoors, open and clearly visible. The Buddha statues are large and truly magnificent.
Well, the interesting spot is behind the temple. There's a fairly large, neat, clean, and green garden, very beautiful and attractive. It's not too crowded because everyone prefers the front of the temple. This is a photo spot that not everyone knows about. I'll tell you about it, and you can use it to take photos alone or with your travel partner.
I took a photo on the rock. Right between the hedges, you can take a photo at eye level with the Buddha statue. You can climb it, but you have to watch your foot/step to avoid falling.
Also, I climb to the top of Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, which was very crowded with people working together up the stairs. I also felt FOMO, join in, wanting to see what was up there.
I was a little apprehensive cause the stairs were too steep and the steps a bit slippery. But don't worry, if you have a good step you'll stay safe. Above, there a lot of people throw coins that would fall to the bottom of the temple. It was full of coins, and I wondered, what if this temple was filled with them? Would anyone pick them up?
Furthermore, the view from the top is truly breathtaking. I saw statues line up symmetricall and neat. This temple was truly glorious in its time. You could see the entire plains for quite a distance. It was truly incredible how people back then could build such a tall structure with such limited technology. Could they have been much smarter than people today? It's unthinkable to even build such a large and magnificent temple today.
See you the next time hive friends!

Hi! Let me introduce myself, its me Wita.
I'm just a woman who wants to write whatever's on my mind. I really enjoy cooking, occasionally traveling, and doing whatever I like. I want to live like a bird flying freely in nature. But I know I'm only human. So, I can only write freely like a bird that can fly with its two wings.
I'm usually very interested in new things. Let me be creative with at least these writings. I welcome any suggestions, as long as you mention them politely in the comments section. We can have a free discussion every now and then.
Don't think too much of me as you see in my posts. I'm just sharing what I have, and some of it is actually quite enjoyable to post. It's just that I don't really like posting bad things. I hope we continue to work together to build this Hive community.
