This article is dedicated to Vietnamese Steem Community (known as TeamVN), using the knowledge that I have acquired during the internal training "Wealthy as worthy" in my company and my knowledge. Have you ever asked yourself, "Am I wealthy?"
When asked, most of my friends say "No, I'm not," "I'm so broke," "I'm so deep in debt that even a scuba diver gave up exploring my debt."
I used to say that, too.
The funny thing is whenever we hear the word "wealthy," most of us immediately direct ourselves towards money, financial status or asset.
The truth is, we never have enough money to have the feeling of fulfillment. We try to work every day, taking overtime, do extra jobs, go an extra mile, to get more money that makes us feel "wealthy."
Let's take it as an example.
Here you are, working your day for a living and living as usual. Suddenly, I happen to send you 1 million SBD. What should you do? Will you continue with your current lifestyle or you will spend a fortune on the things that you wished for? Will you still keep going to work the next day?
Me? I will buy a ton of things to make me feel wealthy.
But like I said before, once you have got everything you ever wished for, what will happen next? Do you feel wealthy? Maybe yes, because now you have everything you ever hoped for, but you will not have the things you needed.
What I have learned about Wealthy
I have joined a training course at my company, in which I have determined that we will never feel wealthy when we have more money. In fact, "wealthy" is a definition of several aspects in life.
According to Brian Tracy, there are seven aspects of the wealthy, which all bring up a "full life":
- Relationship
- Time
- Financial
- Time
- Career
- Emotion
- Contribution
From that difinition, the "financial wealthy" is just one aspect of wealthy. There are other factors that also help you live a "full-life".
If you are still reading up to this point, let's spend 1 minutes to appreciate what has brought you up to this point of your life. We may come from different backgrounds, have different educations and employment, but we are here, on Steemit, at this very moment, thanks to a particular reason: We exist.
Up to this point, if you look back at your past, and look at other people around you, you will feel highly appreciated that you are living a much better life than a whole lot of people out there. Take a look at the seven aspects of Wealthy above, and consider yourself:
- Do you have friends that you can trust to share everything in your life?
- Do you have the time to do what you love to when you feel like you want to?
- You may not have a lot of money, but do you have just enough money to live your life at the moment?
- If you are working, let's be thankful that you are not unemployed. Your job maybe not enough to satisfy, but at least, you have a job.
- If you are sad or if things go dark, can you share if anyone else or you have to bear it yourself?
- Have you ever contributed back to the society? Have you ever done something as an act of "giving back"?
I will not ask for your answer, but I want to say, there will not be enough money for you, but there will be enough to enjoy your life and everything around it. You may not have everything in life, but again, let have a look back, you are far more fortunate than others, let's appreciated that.
Appreciate the simple things, and enjoy your life to the fullness.
