Health Check

Lately access to data is getting better and better when we are talking about Splinterlands. If you haven't seen it yet, I am getting all my data from here:

I like to call these post a health check, basically to understand how are we doing as a community. In January I published this post, which looked at hive holding for top 1000 SPS stakeholders at the time. Today I have access to top 2000 SPS stakeholders! Looks like we will have this access forever. Let us dive into the data, shall we?!

This doesn't look much different visually. Most of the space is empty. The way I interpret this is in terms of opportunity space.

What we will do next is to display the same data in log-log space to see it better. My goal is as follows

inspire people to post content on hive
posting content on hive whether SL related or otherwise is helpful for personal growth
your hive blog is your digital journal, it will be there long after you are gone
if you produce valuable content that raise awareness and engagement, then you can earn

Based on these principles, I have been guiding many individuals. I have decided to plot 4 such names who are showing marked improvements

In no particular order they are

Do you see these four randomly chosen names follow a trendline? :)

Yes, they have increased their hive presence significantly, and their HP growth reflect that. I have taken the liberty of extrapolating their trendline towards the direction I like for them to go. Just look where that trendline is pointing!

I didn't make it up. It is in the data :)

That is the path every new hive content creator should take. If they do, they will thrive in this ecosystem.

Back to the Distribution

The top looks healthy and unchanged. That is s good sign. Large investors are stable in this game, and that is rare in crypto space.

In terms of the overall distribution, it is highly log-normal, as expected. It is very funny that in this highly asymmetric distribution my friend Hive account@misterrogers provides the symmetry, by being exactly at the median!

I would love for this distribution to flatten a bit. I like the median to move from rank 87 to the right, say past 100 and then 150 and so on.

Chages in the last month

There are only minor changes at the top.

Bravetofu bought more SPS than vugtis and moved to number one spot
Yabapmatt bought more SPS and moved from number seven to number four spot
Overall, Top 10 remained unchanged as an aggregate
Currently as individual accounts, Top 10 holds 25% of the total staked SPS
