At first take my cordial love. How are you? By the way I am doing well. Nikli Haor is one of the most famous natural place to visit in Bangladesh. Today I am going to tell you how to go there from the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka and Chittagong.
- From Dhaka to Kishoreganj:-
There are two ways to go to Kishoreganj by train or bus from Dhaka.
If you want to go by train and see around in one day, you must take the Antonagar Provati train. Leaving Kamalapur station at 8 am on the remaining 7 days of the week except Wednesday morning at 11 am, it reaches Kishoreganj via Airport, Tongi, Narsingdi and Bhairab stations.
- Train fares range from 150-250 Taka
If you want to come by bus from Dhaka, you have to travel from Golapbagh of Dhaka or come to Ananya Super Bus Service. The bus leaves every morning from 5:30 to 15 minutes. Bus fare is 190 to 220 taka per person. From Mohakhali bus stand there is an opportunity to go to Kishoreganj via Gazipur, Joydebpur, Katiadi at almost the same fare.
- From Chittagong to Kishoreganj:-
You can also go to Kishoreganj by bus or train from Chittagong. Here in Chittagong, different buses leave from Alangkar junction every evening till 10 pm. The fare of non AC buses is 400-600 Taka depending on the quality. Also currently the easiest way to get to Kishoreganj is by train. The Ekmae Train Vijay Express leaves Chittagong Railway Station at 8:20 am and reaches Kishoreganj at 2:30 pm. If you want, it is possible to return to Chittagong by Vijay Express at 10 pm only by visiting Nikli Haor till evening on the same day!
- From Kishoreganj to Nikli Haore:-
To reach Nikli from Kishoreganj city, go to Nikligami CNG station adjacent to the railway station. The distance from Kishoreganj Sadar to Nikli is about 26 kilometers. It takes about 1 hour to get out of CNG station locally or with reserve. It costs 60 taka per person to go local and 350-400 taka to take CNG reserve.
Nikli Haor is one of the beautiful place for camping. You can camp there with your friends and family.
- Warning:-
Be careful when traveling in the haor, do not go into the water if you do not know how to swim. However, if you want to get up, bring a life jacket with you.
