Over the years, our friends from Korea have generously pumped the value of hive. However, in the past year or about 18 months, they have gone quiet and the asset has largely traded sideways.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading above the 60K mark but it is safe to say that we aren't just quite in a bull market yet. Then again, we actually aren't far away from Bitcoin's all time high, so surpassing that point would be an interesting milestone.
Generally speaking, Bitcoin carries the entire crypto market with it. So, if we do see a new all time high, it is safe to assume we'd see considerable movement in alt coins like Hive.
Hive has been relatively quiet in the market. At just about 38 cents, there's really not much to be excited by. Then again, it is better than nothing.
I'm looking forward to seeing Hive trading at those ambitious predictions we've all hoped for. The first indication of this ambitious pump would be to reach the $1 mark.
Can't lose
The way I see it, as long as you spend time on Hive, you're going to win in the market. If you've been accumulating over the past couple of months, then you should have a decent stack of hive just sitting in your wallet.
One of the most difficult parts of our relocation is having to liquidate virtually everything I had. The timing of liquidation hurts even moreso, especially with the bull market just around the corner.
Then again, if I was in Nigeria right now, I'd be shitting bricks because of all the antagonistic decisions that the government is making against crypto. Halting P2P and launching yet another assault on Binance has adversely affected enthusiasm in the country but at the same time, people are seeking alternatives.
Anyway, imagine a scenario where we actually see Hive hitting $5 sometimes before the end of the year. There will be overnight millionaires falling out of the sky and I expect hive to be buzzing even more.
A crazy pump would also be good for many of our favourite projects on Hive. Upvotes and interactions would carry a lot more weight. Many projects will also have access to even more resources to improve.
I'm particularly excited because this means that the prizes for the Hive FPL league and you can join the conversation on Discord could be astronomically higher. We will be able to pay even more places thanks to this and make it a very rewarding experience for everyone.
