I'm happy to share my visit to the Hernán Marín Athenaeum, located on the coastal strip of Cumaná, Cacique Maragüey Avenue. It was inaugurated on December 18th of last year to pay tribute to the singer Hernán Marín, the king of Eastern Joropo. The space covers approximately 10,000 square meters and boasts an excellent location right on the beach. It has different areas for physical activities; in fact, on the day of our visit, there was a group of women doing dance therapy.
It has several walkways, stairs, and murals that reflect the singer's songs. The space is enclosed at the front and side with concrete columns. The entrance faces the beach soccer field, and the singer's name is displayed on a fence next to a mandolin, one of his favorite instruments in his performances. At the back is the phrase Sucre Inspires You. From this gate, the murals can be seen. One of the best known depicts the San Antonio de la Eminencia Castle, several boats in a seascape, typical of this area due to the fishing activity, pelicans, birds that regularly fly over the beach, and some pink flowers. Going up from the mural to the left, there are several phrases from his iconic songs, one of them being "Yamaray." The path is a small asphalt road that leads to the amphitheater of the Marina Plaza shopping center. To the right is a wall with the word "Venezuela," and in front of it, a small wooden boat with the Venezuelan flag. The view of the The amphitheater is very beautiful and also has several ornamental plants, clay pots, among other things. The most prominent colors are blue and gray, in the different structures of the amphitheater. The paths have a beautiful design with rock walls and a concrete floor. Since I learned that this space had been inaugurated, I really wanted to visit it, and with my son, we planned a trip. It was a lovely experience. On the day of our visit, it had only been open a few days and there were many people. It was somewhat difficult to take photos, since most of the spaces were occupied by families taking pictures, walking around, and getting to know this beautiful space dedicated to art and culture as a legacy of this Eastern singer-songwriter.
Hola amigos viajeros es un placer saludarles deseando que tengan un excelente y bendecido día en unión de sus seres queridos, me siento feliz de compartir mi visita al Ateneo Hernán Marín, ubicado en la cinta costera de Cumaná avenida Cacique Maragüey, el cual fue inaugurado el 18 de diciembre del año pasado, para rendir un tributo al cantante Hernán Marín, el rey del joropo Oriental, el espacio tiene aproximadamente 10,000 metros cuadrados y una excelente ubicación a la orilla de la playa, cuenta con diferentes áreas para realizar actividades físicas, de hecho el día de nuestra visita, había un grupo de chicas realizando bailoterapia.
Tiene varias caminerías, escaleras, y murales que reflejan las canciones del cantante, el espacio está cercado en la parte frontal y lateral con columnas de concreto, la entrada se ubica hacia la cancha de fútbol playa y en ella se lee el nombre del cantante en una valla con la mandolina al lado, uno de sus instrumentos favoritos en su interpretaciones, en la parte posterior la frase Sucre te Inspira, desde esta puerta se observan los murales, uno de los más conocidos corresponde el castillo San Antonio de la Eminencia, varios botes en un paisaje marino, que son típicos en esta zona por la actividad pesquera que se realiza, también los pelícanos, aves que regularmente vuelan el espacio de las playa y unas flores de color rosa, subiendo desde el mural hacia el lado izquierdo, hay varias frases de sus icónicas canciones una de ellas Yamaray, el camino es una pequeña calle de asfalto, que conduce hasta el anfiteatro del centro comercial Marina plaza, hacia el lado derecho se ubica un muro con la palabra Venezuela y al frente de esta un pequeño bote de madera con la bandera de Venezuela, la vista del anfiteatro es muy bonita tiene también varias plantas ornamentales, macetas de arcilla, entre otros, los colores que más destacan son el azul azul y gris, en las diferentes estructuras del anfiteatro, los caminos tienen un bonito diseño con muros de roca y el piso de concreto, desde que supe que habían inaugurado este espacio tenía muchas ganas de visitarlo y en compañía de mi hijo programamos una salida, fue una linda experiencia, el día de nuestra visita tenía pocos días de inaugurado y habían muchas personas, fue un tanto difícil tomar las fotos, ya que la mayoría de los espacios estaban ocupados por familias, haciendo fotografías, recorriendo y conociendo este hermoso espacio dedicado al arte y la cultura como legado de este cantautor oriental.

Below that, we have a partial view of the amphitheater and the octagonal shape. On the side wall, the following phrase is written: "The better and more cultured we are, the better people of Sucre will be." From this vantage point, several buildings along the avenue can be seen. Another view shows the mural, the side entrance, and the concrete and terracotta floor.
In the afternoon, the view is truly beautiful. With the sunset, a stunning landscape unfolds. To the left, at the top, after traversing the paths that lead to the beach and different areas of the amphitheater, there's a wall with the word "Venezuela" in white. Below it are several lamps in yellow, blue, and red. At night, these colors are reflected in the letters. In front of the wall is a boat with the phrase "Sea of Hope," alluding to a song by this artist. From the next viewpoint, we observe the shape of the amphitheater, the paths and gardens located from the entrance to the top, spiraling upwards. To reach the wall with the letters spelling "Venezuela," there is a concrete walkway and side walls covered with stones. We can see some of the ornamental plants in purple and green, the LED lamps, and circular planters made of white stones. The amphitheater, like the walkways, has a concrete and terracotta floor. From this point, we can see all the stairs and the walls where the singer's photo is located. The wall with the word "Venezuela" is seen at sunset with a beautiful color that adorns the sky and the reflection of the sun's rays illuminating this space. From below, after walking along all the walkways, we took a photograph of this wall. The view is beautiful, and several details of the amphitheater can be observed.
En el centro se ubica una estructura con base en forma octagonal es de color azul y gris y en la parte posterior tiene una pequeña escalera, alrededor se ven las gradas del anfiteatro, su forma es semicircular y en una de las esquinas se ubica la foto del artista Cumanés, desde el centro se observa parte de la avenida perimetral, la playa y los postes de iluminación; en la parte superior tiene un círculo con una estrella en los colores, gris, blanco y negro, a continuación tenemos una vista parcial del anfiteatro y la figura octagonal, en el paredón lateral se lee la siguiente frase: "Mientras seamos mejores y más cultos, seremos mejores Sucrences", desde esta zona ubicada en la parte de arriba, se aprecian varios edificios de la avenida, en otra vista se observa el mural, la entrada lateral y el piso de concreto y terracota.
En horas de la tarde, la vista es realmente bonita, con el ocaso del sol se ve un hermoso paisaje, hacia el lado izquierdo, en la parte de arriba luego de recorrer los caminos que conducen a la playa y diferentes áreas del anfiteatro, se ubica un muro con la palabra Venezuela en color blanco, en la parte de abajo tiene varias lámparas con los colores amarillo, azul y rojo, en horas de la noche se observan estos colores reflejados en las letras, al frente del muro se ubica un bote con la frase "Mar de Esperanza", que hace alusión a una canción de este artista, en la siguiente vista observamos la forma del anfiteatro, los caminos y jardines ubicados desde la entrada hasta la parte superior, con forma de espiral, para dirigirse al muro con las letras de Venezuela hay una caminería de concreto y los muros laterales cubiertos con piedras, se ve parte de las plantas ornamentales en color morado y verde, las lámparas led y jardineras circulares formadas con piedras de color blanco, el anfiteatro al igual que las caminerías tiene el piso de concreto y terracota; desde este punto se observan todas las escaleras y los muros donde se ubica la foto del cantante, el muro con la palabra Venezuela, se observa al atardecer con un lindo color que adorna el cielo y el reflejo de los rayos del sol que iluminan este espacio, desde la parte de abajo, una vez que recorrimos todas las caminerías, tomamos una fotografía de este muro, la vista es bonita y se observan varios detalles del anfiteatro.
After our tour of the lower part of the amphitheater, we went up to the back. There we saw the boat, the letters, the view of the beach, the mural, and we stayed until about 6 pm to watch the sunset; it was a great decision because the view is spectacular.
Continuing our walk, we observed ornamental plants, lamps, and a view of the amphitheater's perimeter fence at the base of the stone wall. The grounds are covered in grass and plants, and to one side, we could see the beach and the walkways leading to it. Some walkways are made of concrete and stone, while others are made of stone. One of these walkways is located next to the "Venezuela" wall. Before heading back, we took a photo of the word "Venezuela" on the wall. At the base of the wall, we could see several ornamental plants with purple and green leaves. At this point, we again saw the lamps and some grassy areas. It was a lovely adventure visiting this amphitheater and exploring its spaces, which are designed for cultural and sporting activities, among others. I liked the design and the excellent location near the beach. In the afternoon, the breeze is very pleasant and relaxing. After our tour, we took the bus back home, very happy to have discovered this charming space for fun and recreation, located on the city's coastal strip, which offers an incredible view of the sea.
Luego de nuestro recorrido por la parte baja del anfiteatro, subimos hasta la parte posterior, allí observamos el bote las letras, la vista de la playa, el mural y nos quedamos hasta aproximadamente las 6 de la tarde, para ver el atardecer; fue una decisión acertada porque la vista es espectacular.
Avanzando en nuestro paseo, observamos en la parte baja del muro de piedra, las plantas ornamentales, lámparas y una vista de la cerca perimetral que tiene el anfiteatro, en el terreno hay grama, plantas y en el lado lateral una vista de la playa y las caminerías que conducen hasta ella, las hay de concreto con piedra y de piedras, una de ellas se ubica al lado del muro Venezuela, antes de regresar tomamos una foto en solitario, a la palabra Venezuela, en la parte baja del muro se aprecian varias plantas ornamentales, con las hojas de color morado y verde, en este punto nuevamente se ven las lámparas y algunos espacios con grama, fue una linda aventura visitar este anfiteatro, conocer sus espacios que están destinados para la realización de actividades culturales, deportivas entre otras, me gustó el diseño y la excelente ubicación cerca de la playa, en horas de la tarde la brisa es muy agradable y relajante, terminado nuestro recorrido tomamos el transporte de vuelta a casa muy felices de haber conocido este encantador espacio, para la diversión y esparcimiento, ubicado en la cinta costera de la ciudad que ofrece una increíble vista al mar.
