Always delighted upon discovery of the small treasures in gardening like a fresh pile of worm poo.
No but really, vermicompost is an excellent natural fertilizer for just about every plant. I’m a bit skeptical about seeing it here inside my basement grow, but I will not bother it this moment.. till I notice any problems but I don’t foresee an issue form a rogue worm weaving his way through the containers.
Not too much room in that container.. I imagine the slimy hotdog lookin guy moves into other containers when the light shuts off at night.
And if he survives long enough, I’ll transplant him back into the earth come warm weather. Severely diminishing his chances at longevity.
Overall the basement garden is looking green and healthy with peppers ripening to vibrant colors!
Harvested the red bell that was grown in James nursury and it was as sweet as an apple, crisp and juicy.
And a “scorpion” pepper that had stopped growing at a minuscule size and ripened so I gave it a chomp. Not too much spice at all but a decent flavor for the little pep.
Who else looks forward to the warm season?! I can’t wait to start growing again! All those fresh veggies we had the blessing of enjoying last year, I hope for the same success. As well as for everyone else’s success.
But this year we will have a young newborn to care for, and to feed. So I will take that as my opportunity!
We’ve got all the tools we need to turn my home grown food into baby edible food. No reason why we can’t succeed. As long as the weather cooperates.
Peace to all. Have a great weekend!
