There are so many beautiful species of birds on our planet like about 18,000 species but today i am going to show you some of the world's big birds that i have photographed on my travels starting with this beautiful Black Swan that was relaxing by the lakeside and wasn't to impressed me disturbing him or her by approaching to close to take a photo by the looks of him or her , he was ready to attack if i took another step closer. These big beautiful water birds can mainly be seen breeding in the southeast and southwest regions of Australia.
The White Swan is more common and can be seen in most parts of the world they a very pure elegant looking water bird.
This beautiful colored Swan was just hanging around on this log by the lakeside drying out his wings before take-off that's a lovely wingspan.
The Pelican water bird is known by there long beak and a large throat pouch which is used to catching there prey. These big birds can be found around most continents except Antarctica as it is to cold for them to breed there and there lifespan can be from 15 - 25 years.
They have a pretty selected menu these Pelicans apart from scooping up fish from the ocean they also love to eat crabs, lobsters , frogs and lizards even the occasional small bird.
The Stork waterbird is another amazing looking big bird with long legged, long necked wading birds with long, stout bills. The myths of these birds is that they use to carry new born babies to there mothers in a sign of good luck and good health most still believe that if a Stork lands on your house roof there would be a new born coming to the household 😊
