Another night in Bangkok city and it is Sunday evening and we are looking for something different not just a ordinary drinking bar or restaurant something that had a bit more of vibe and a classy old look so a friend of my suggested Zinc Bar 101 which was a little out of our way but i liked the sounds of the name Zinc Bar and the word Zinc appealed to me and he did stay this bar had that old and classy look and that we would like it as my friend had already been there once so i trusted his judgment.
We were just finishing up at another bar that we were at and decided upon recommendation of my friend to go and check out this Zinc Bar , i also asked him did they serve food at bar and he said it's a Canadian guy and his Thai wife that run this bar and he makes the best tasting Australia beef hamburgers well that definitely sold me i haven't tasted a Aussie burger for a while so we jump into a taxi and we were on our way to Zinc Bar 101.
So on arrival we were greeted by the staff i took one quick glimpse of this bar and i already felt this was the place i was looking for now i felt in my comfort zone so we selected ourselves a cool table made out of all these beer bottle tops what a great idea this was very cool idea.
The owner the Canadian man called Dan came over and introduced himself as he must have know we were newbies to his bar and this i call respect and making you feel welcome that was really cool of him after all the introductions he sent a lovely waitress over to take our orders , i already knew what i wanted a big juicy Aussie beef burger with the lot and my mouth was already watering just looking at the photos of these burgers on the menu i ended up going with The Down Under burger with the lot for the cost of $7.50 US dollars 😅
The girls had Pad Thai with King size Prawns.

The food "WOW" highly recommended by me at they are at reasonable prices, big portion and tasty as with the beers also at reasonable price the large bottle of beer was like $3 US dollars this was not only going to be a fun night but a cheap night also.
Even though the bar wasn't crowded still due covid-19 there were enough people in this Zinc Bar to make the place feel lively it was almost like our own private party everyone was friendly and chatty and everyone was having fun with nice Pink Floyd and mostly 80's and 90's music happening in the background.
These are the sort of bar's i love were you can feel comfortable and be yourself the atmosphere was perfect and the contrast of the way the bar was fitted out kept you interested and amused looking around lots of history and a nice bottle collection he had it just seemed to all blend in so well with the rusty corrugated iron and old timber.
We were in this Zinc Bar for about 5 hours had the best of foods and loads of beers and the bill came out to be less then $100 US dollars that was about $25 US dollars per person , i honestly felt that the bill was a mistake so cheap for a great night out it certainly makes a difference when you party outside from the tourist areas and in the local areas.
To sum up Zinc Bar 101 , A great local Bar & Grill hangout with superb affordable food made from quality ingredients...Largest selection of Beers, Spirits and Cocktails in the area. Watch your favorite sports on the Big Screen TV's or relax playing a game or two of pool in a great atmosphere more then this you can not ask for was definitely one unexpected night and i will be returning to Zinc Bar 101 for another one of those Down Under Burgers and a game of pool ðŸ¤
