The thing with what I ordered vs what I got is that while some vendors tend to be mischievous and send you something entirely different, there are customers or clients who just do not know themselves.
The outfit might be a 100, but then the body is a zero. Such a person will quickly run to the internet to shout what I ordered vs what I got.
You ordered an outfit you saw on a body like Beyonce or Kim K, but your own body is not like that. Why won't it be what I ordered Vs what I got when your body already betrayed you? Or is it you betraying your body by not knowing what fits?
How about the ones that will want their tailor (fashion designer) to sew a particular kind of clothing for them, especially a design they must have seen on all these celebrities. Obviously, such designs aren't cheap and when their tailors bill them, they'll scream and haggle for a reduction.
How do you expect such clothing to turn out exactly or very similar to the one a celebrity is putting on? When the money paid is not commensurate to tge quality of design?
How about the one that the design will require 6 yards of fabric but because the customer wants to cut corners and save cost, they will make only 3yards of fabric available for the tailor to work with, why will what I ordered vs what I got not happen?
One thing we should realize is that quality is expensive and not entirely cheap, our body also differs and while the clothing might look good on a model, it might not fit so perfectly because of the difference in body structure.
I am not a fashion designer but I'm aware that various body structures have specific outfits that bang and the ones that do not go well. So when ordering stuffs online, we should put these things into consideration.
There was an outfit I saw on my friend whose average height and a bit plump.
God! That outfit was beautiful, I quickly took a screenshot for my tailor but then on a second look at my body frame, I'd look like a clown in the outfit.
I am really tall, slender with broad shoulders, I had imagined and even pictured myself in that outfit and saw that it won't go.
To be sure that my mind wasn't playing tricks on me, I had asked my mom and she said nope, can't you see her body and yours is not the same thing? Its a full cloth for a full body and you are slim.
I quickly respected myself and deleted the screenshots to avoid stories that touches the heart.
Recently I had wanted to braid and I needed something unique, beautiful and different so I went on YouTube to check out some hairstyles.
I saw a Ghanaian do knotless braid with wool and I immediately fell inlove with the style. There was how she brushed the wool out after braiding it to give it a dred look and I wanted mine exactly like that.
I was discussing with and this girl was already laughing, she said you want to go and make YouTube hair? See you see what I ordered vs what I got.
Immediately, my heart sank because I really wanted to make the hair exactly as seen but then the wool I had bought was different and might not come out well if I follow her style.
So I did a little experiment, I brought out one wool and brushed it.
Ladies and gentlemen the thing scattered, the wool was destroyed and if I had tried it on the hair after it's been made, my name would have been sorry.
What did I now do? I still went ahead with the knotless braid and used the other wool but didn't brush on it.
And guysss!!!! Look at what we have 🥰
