Hello to all members of the #HomeSolutions community. I wish you a day filled with success and blessings. I’m back to share an experience that might be concerning—one caused by power fluctuations. It’s not easy to live without a refrigerator; it has become an essential household appliance, as its main function is to ensure the freshness and quality of food to protect our health by reducing the growth of bacteria. When the refrigerator breaks down, the worry sets in: you immediately think that the food stored inside might spoil and, of course, about the repair costs. Today I’m sharing the story of a homemaker’s experience
It’s a standard two-door model, with the freezer on top and the refrigerator on the bottom. I noticed the problem in the refrigerator compartment because the temperature isn’t right, and in the freezer compartment, I can tell the electric fan is barely moving. At the same time, I realize the motor is actually running. This is why I called the technician. The specialist begins the routine inspection, but first asks me a few questions about the appliance. He rules out a clogged drain and cleans it with a wire; everything is fine on that end.
Now, remove the four screws to take off the cover and expose the interior panel of the refrigerator. You’ll see that it isn’t frozen, so immediately remove the electric fan.
He began testing it to determine the condition of the part. First, using the clamp meter, he found that there was no electrical continuity, which meant that the electric fan was damaged and needed to be replaced with a new one, at a cost of $18.
Now, the new electric fan is successfully installed, following the necessary testing. The panel is secured, and the four screws are tightened again. The refrigerator is turned on and left running for a few minutes to check whether it is cooling properly in both the freezer and refrigerator compartments, with successful results. After the test, following the technician’s recommendation, he advised waiting a little longer for the temperature to stabilize before putting food inside.
