It's been a normal week (as far as normal goes 😜) for me in Splinterlands. One of those rare occasions where there has been nothing particularly game changing in the game itself 🤣. This is perfectly ok and I appreciate some peaceful farming of my daily focuses 😊.
Splinterlands itself also saw the proposals for Land and Tower Defense SPS payouts go LIVE, so, that's some additional sources of airdrops if you happen to be holding on to any of those.
For something related to, but not quite Splinterlands itself, Genesis League Goals presale has now gone LIVE! ⚽️⚽️⚽️ So if anyone wants to get themselves on some packs, now is the time to do so while stocks last. I'll give more information later on in my post 😉.

A brief introduction before I start though...
Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳
This is now the 48th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. Of course, this also marks my 37th weekly giveaway! 🎉🥳🎊
No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

As mentioned in my opening introduction, this past week was basically just farming my daily quests and grinding out some small bits of rewards in those chests. Unfortunately, those rewards have been nothing to shout about. 😭 Life is slow grind though, so slow and steady it is. These little bits and pieces add up eventually. 📈
My quest for more Gold Foil Legendary cards from my rewards chests continues on ("Greed is Good!" 😈). It's a 0.008% chance, at base level, to pull a legendary gold foil, in case you were wondering 😉. Here's to more jackpot strikes in the future (i hope) 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀.
I might not have had the opportunity to purchase any of the LAND cheap when it first launched, but I'm not making the same mistake now with Nightmare Packs 😜. My packs have been generating an average of about 0.12 SPS per pack everyday for a few days now.
This early on where not that many packs have been sold yet, has resulted in a fairly decent APR return for holders of such packs. 📈 Not Financial advice - but as things stands, the returns are pretty decent. I wouldn't expect this to last for long though as more and more people figure this out and start buying packs for the free returns 🤑

Well, the Genesis League Goals Presale has finally gone LIVE!
Going to the website https://goals.genesisleaguesports.com/ brings to to a very nicely designed webpage as can be seen below. 😁⚽️
You do have to register an email account and then link your HIVE wallet to it before making any pack purchases though. There is also an option to buy packs using Paypal but that would require an additional KYC step.
As of the time of my post, about 200k out of the 500k presale packs have already been sold. The prices are discounted at the moment until the initial batch of presale packs are sold out. There're some bulk purchase discounts too in the form of more packs and some special perks (the details of which are scarce at the moment).
I'm still on the fence myself about taking part in the presale, although that's primarily down to me wanting to first focus all my available funds on HIVE to the upcoming WOO Wrestling Organization Online 
I can probably make a better assessment of how much I have available in the days following that. Hopefully it won't sell out so quickly 🤣

And now, for an update on the number of Chaos Legion packs sold thus far. About 143k sold since last week. That is an amazing sales figure! 😄
Here's the current count (as of the moment I'm writing this post) of the number of packs sold, and we're 726k away from the 11 million mark! Which also means everyone has a chance to get in now and grab more packs for the remaining airdrops! 😜
